Eid-el-Kabir: Garo calls for support to the needy

Murtala Sule Garo, the APC’s 2023 deputy governorship candidate in Kano, has urged Muslims to use the Eid el-Kabir celebration to support the less privileged and show compassion to those struggling.

In a message he personally signed and shared with reporters on Thursday, Garo called on Nigerians to pray for peace, unity, and progress in the country.

He also remembered the 22 Kano athletes who died in a recent road crash on their way back from the National Sports Festival in Ogun State, asking the public to pray for them and their grieving families.

“I extend my heartfelt greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Kano State and across Nigeria. May the spirit of Eid el-Kabir bring peace and strengthen our bonds of unity,” he said.

“I also pray for the repose of the souls of our departed brothers, who died in the recent accident. May Allah grant them eternal rest and comfort their families,” he added.

Garo urged people to use the occasion to look beyond their own celebrations and consider others who may be in need. “Let us use this opportunity to extend our hands of kindness to those in need and ensure that everyone feels the joy of this blessed season,” he said.
