VIDEO: ‘We were close to marriage’ Kcee opens up about Past love affair with Ebube Nwagbo

Afrobeats star Kcee, whose real name is Kingsley Okonkwo, has opened up about his past relationship with Nollywood actress, Ebube Nwagbo, revealing that they were once deeply involved and nearly got married before their relationship soured.

Speaking on a recent episode of the Tea With Tay podcast which started trending on Saturday, hosted by Temisan Emmanuel, the “Limpopo” hitmaker reflected on his early fame and the intense media attention that surrounded their romance.

“My scandals were before social media became rampant.

“I was just a young boy dating one actress. Me and actresses were always headlining the papers. I loved actresses back then. Who wouldn’t?” Kcee said.

He recalled how their relationship dominated headlines and red carpets at the time.

“I can’t name all the actresses I’ve dated, but I will mention that our relationship was everywhere; Ebube Nwagbo. We were always on the front covers of newspapers.

“We were close to getting married before whatever happened, happened,” he said.

Kcee has since moved on and is now married to his wife, Ijeoma, with whom he has two children.

Meanwhile, Ebube Nwagbo, who is currently single, has previously been romantically linked to public figures such as Ogbonna Nwankwo, Emmanuel Emenike, and Ray Emordi.
