VeryDarkMan’s Ex-Neighbor Shares Throwback Photos, Recalls His Early Activism

• Victor Sunday, a Nigerian man, shared that he once lived with VeryDarkMan in Abuja.

A Nigerian man, Victor Sunday, who claims to have once lived in the same neighborhood as controversial activist VeryDarkMan, has taken to social media to share memories of their time together and offer his support.

In a recent Facebook post, Victor revealed that he and the outspoken social critic were neighbors in Abuja several years ago. He shared throwback photos of them together and called for VeryDarkMan’s release following his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

According to Victor, VeryDarkMan — known back then by the nickname “Blaq” — had always shown a strong sense of justice, often standing up for people who were bullied or mistreated.

“I & VDM were neighbors those days in Abuja & the guy has always been a defender. He is someone that fights for you when you are being bullied. WE KNOW HIM AS BLAQ THOUGH SOCIAL CALL HIM VDM,” Victor wrote.
