Vanguard Award: Kano Power Ministry Hails Governor Yusuf

The Kano State Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy congratulated Governor Yusuf on his recent award by Vanguard Newspaper as the 2024 Vanguard Governor of the Year.

The awards were presented at the 2024 Vanguard Personality of the Year Awards, which is take place at Eko Hotels and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The Vanguard Personality of the Year Award is an annual event aimed at honoring Nigerians who have made significant contributions to national development and social progress.

In a statement signed by Dr. Gaddafi Sani Shehu, Commissioner of the Ministry of Power and Renewable Energy, the Ministry expressed pride in the Governor’s achievements.

“This honor is a testament to your leadership, commitment to transparency, accountability, and inclusive governance, as well as your reforms in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and economic development,” he said.

Dr. Shehu also noted that Governor Yusuf’s efforts have elevated Kano State as a model for good governance in Africa.

“Your dedication to progress has positioned Kano State as an example of good governance in Africa. These accolades inspire hope and pride among citizens and serve as a beacon for future generations,” he added.

The Ministry also pledged its ongoing support for the Governor’s vision for the state. “We celebrate your achievements and pledge our continued support for your vision of sustainable development and prosperity for Kano State,” Dr. Shehu remarked.
