A UK-based Nigerian man has been exposed for allegedly scamming multiple Nigerians abroad, with one victim reporting a loss of ₦5.3 million.
The accusation was made by X (formerly Twitter) user @ifedayo_johnson, who shared her experience on the platform and exposed the individual identified as Nnamdi.
According to her post, she contacted Nnamdi for a currency exchange transaction. After transferring ₦5.3 million to a bank account he provided, he reportedly stopped responding to her messages.
She described him as a serial scammer targeting Nigerians in the UK and backed up her claims with screenshots of their conversations, along with Nnamdi’s passport and personal details.
“If you’ve ever been scammed in a WhatsApp or Telegram group in the UK while trying to exchange currency, there’s a 99.99% chance it’s this guy,” she wrote.
She further alleged that Nnamdi has been running this scam since 2023.
The post has since gone viral, sparking reactions from concerned Nigerians in the comment section.
