  • The couple had been together for over seven years and were seen as a model of faith and love.

Pastor Jonathan Nalebo of Uganda has stirred a wave of reactions online after publicly announcing his split from his wife, Enid Mirembe, whom he described as “too perfect.”

The couple, celebrated for their over seven-year relationship often highlighted as a model of faith and love, shared news of their separation through a heartfelt Facebook post by Nalebo on April 16, 2025.

In the emotional message, Nalebo acknowledged falling short in appreciating the values Enid brought into their marriage. He referred to her as “a remarkable woman” and “a treasure” he admits not handling with the care she deserved.

He wrote:

“After more than seven years together, Enid and I have come to a place where we’ve mutually agreed to part ways—for the sake of peace, healing, and the well-being of both of us.

“Enid Mirembe is an incredible woman. In many ways, she was too perfect for me to keep up with, and I mishandled the treasure she was. I failed to fully honor the values she carried so gracefully in every area of life.

“As a servant of God, I know I am called to lead by example—but I have fallen short. I was warned that the enemy often comes for the most precious things—and family is one of them. I now see how easily the enemy can sow division when we are not vigilant in prayer, humility, and love.

“Our children are safe and deeply loved. They will be in the custody of their mother, and I trust she will continue to raise them with the wisdom and strength she’s always shown.

“I wish Enid Mirembe nothing but the best. She deserves a love that honors her completely. I pray she finds someone who sees her heart and cherishes her in ways I failed to.

“As for me, I return to the feet of Jesus—to seek Him more deeply, to serve Him more faithfully, and to become the man He originally called me to be. And if love ever comes again, I hope it finds me healed, whole, and more anchored in Christ.

Until then, stay blessed.

‘The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.’ — Psalm 34:18.”
