Tudun Wada LGA Invests ₦306m in Development Projects – Council Official

Tudun Wada Local Government in Kano State has executed projects worth over ₦306 million in areas including religion, education, healthcare, water, and sanitation.

Speaking to the Zonal Information Officer of Tudun Wada Zone, Aminu Ahmad Rano, the Local Government Secretary, Alhaji Ali Abdullahi NTA, said the projects were funded through allocations from the Kano State Government to local governments.

According to him, the administration under Hajia Sa’adatu Salisu Yushau Soja has prioritized key projects in Tudun Wada.

“We have made significant progress in various developmental projects, all thanks to the support from the Kano State Government. These efforts are part of our commitment to building a better and more inclusive community,” Alhaji Ali stated.

In the religious sector, ₦30 million was used to renovate a Juma’at mosque belonging to the Izala Islamic sect.

In the education sector, 22 classrooms—two in each of the 11 wards—were rehabilitated. Additionally, two new classrooms were constructed.

“We recognize the importance of education in shaping our future. That’s why we didn’t just renovate classrooms; we also built new ones to ensure that no child is left behind,” he added.

The local government drilled 33 motorized boreholes across various communities. A public convenience was also constructed at the council secretariat.

In the area of health and social welfare, the council distributed winter clothing to Almajiri pupils during the harmattan season and paid hospital bills for some critically ill residents referred to major health centers.

“Our goal is to ensure that even the most vulnerable members of our society are not left behind. From healthcare to basic needs, we are doing our best to support our people,” Alhaji Ali explained.

He expressed gratitude to the Kano State Government for its continued support and urged residents to support the administration’s efforts.

“Development is a shared responsibility. We urge our communities to continue partnering with us so we can collectively uplift the standard of living for everyone,” he appealed.
