Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda Already Changing Lives – Shettima

Vice President Kashim Shettima has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership is focusing on healthcare and education to improve conditions in Nigeria.
Shettima made the remarks over the weekend while receiving a delegation from Big Win Philanthropy, led by its CEO, Jamie Cooper, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
“In a couple of years to come, I am projecting a vibrant and better Nigerian society. We are investing in healthcare and education – it is a game-changer,” the Vice President stated. “With education, within a generation, the son of a pauper can become a celebrated icon.”
He said the administration is willing to work with organizations like Big Win Philanthropy.
“We are open for business. We are ready for fruitful engagements with Big Win Philanthropy because you have the deep knowledge, the institutional memory, the goodwill and the context for a partnership,” Shettima said. “Honestly, Nigeria is not a nation of scarcity; we are a nation defined by potential, blessed with abundant natural resources, but our greatest wealth lies in our people – young, dynamic and determined.”
Shettima also mentioned the Nutrition 774 Initiative, a programme targeting improved nutrition at the local government level.
Speaking on the partnership, CEO of Big Win Philanthropy, Jamie Cooper, acknowledged the Vice President’s focus on tackling malnutrition and stunting, and outlined the Foundation’s plans in Nigeria.
“We are working with Ministers of Education, Culture and Creative Economy, and Health, among others, to create over two million jobs in Nigeria,” Cooper stated. “We are also working on malnutrition, local production of vaccines and drugs.”
Also speaking, Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, described the visit as significant.
“This visit is a mark of confidence in the leadership of President Tinubu, Vice President Shettima, and the entire administration,” Prof. Pate said.
