Tinubu’s 2027 Campaign Posters Flood Dutse Streets

Residents of Dutse, the Jigawa State capital, woke up over the weekend to find their streets covered with campaign posters calling for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
The posters, ranging from giant billboards to smaller handbills, were spotted in strategic locations across Dutse and other major towns in the state. They prominently featured images of President Tinubu alongside Governor Malam Umar Namadi, with the bold message: “Tinubu Continuity 2027.”
It remains unclear who is behind the poster campaign, but signs point to support groups loyal to the All Progressives Congress (APC) or government sympathizers pushing for a second term for the President.
Ali Bello, a resident of Dutse, described the development as a sign of democracy at work. “We’re seeing APC supporters showing where they stand. It’s now up to other parties to present their candidates so that people can decide whom they want,” he said.
It will be recalled that earlier in February, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, declared that President Bola Tinubu would complete two terms in office.
Ganduje made this assertion when he received a delegation from the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu Media Centre and the Tinubu Northern Youth Forum at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja.
According to him, it would be unfair to deny Tinubu a second term after a northern president was allowed to complete eight years in office. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to upholding its zoning arrangement to maintain a North-South power balance.
“When a leader from the northern part of this country was in office for eight years, we advocated that the next president from our party should come from the South. Fortunately, we worked very hard with the cooperation of Nigerians.
“Our president is from the South and, Insha Allah, he will secure a second term in 2027. After that, it will be the turn of the northern part of this country,” Ganduje said.
