- The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has rejected rumors circulating about his alleged collapse last week, describing them as false and politically motivated.
- He confirmed that he is in good health and remains focused on completing vital infrastructure projects in the capital.
Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has denied viral reports suggesting he collapsed last week, stating they are false and politically driven.
While inspecting four ongoing projects in Abuja, such as the International Conference Centre (ICC), Wike dismissed the rumors as the work of political opponents seeking to undermine him.
He reassured the public of his good health and commitment to advancing key infrastructure projects in the capital.
Wike called on citizens to ignore the misleading information and focus on the positive developments occurring under his leadership.
“I don’t want to give credence to people who are only interested in spreading rumors. First of all, I am a human being, not a ghost. If someone collapses, it is a human being that collapses, not a ghost. Unfortunately, I did not collapse.I didn’t show that I have any health problem.
Let me tell you what happened. You see that the former Head of Service of Rivers state government came out to let the public know what was going on and how they planned to bomb the House of Assembly complex, how they planned to attack national assets…In order to divert attention from people not to focus on that, they had to bring one rumor that they have been flown overseas There was never a time I collapsed. There was never a time anybody took me to the hospital”
