Terror Attack Alert: Kano Police Warns Residents to Stay Cautious

The Kano State Police Command has issued a security alert following intelligence reports about suspected plans by terrorists to attack public gatherings in strategic locations across the state.
In a statement signed by SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, Police Public Relations Officer, on behalf of the Commissioner of Police, residents were urged to avoid crowded areas and exercise caution.
The statement noted that this approach would enable security operatives to identify and neutralize potential threats.
“A team of experts from the Command’s Explosive Ordinance Disposal, Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear units have been deployed to strategic locations and are on high alert,” the statement said.
Residents were also encouraged to report any suspicious activities or emergencies to the nearest police station. “Your vigilance and cooperation are crucial in ensuring public safety,” the statement read.
The police urged residents to remain calm and vigilant. “We appreciate the support and cooperation of the good people of Kano State,” the statement added.
