Student Reportedly Expelled After Mother Refuses to Pay 15k School Party Fee

A school named Aunty Joy allegedly expelled a student after the parent refused to pay a ₦15,000 party fee and raised concerns about it.
The mother shared her frustration on social media, explaining that the school gave two separate accounts for tuition and the party levy.
She paid only the tuition, as she was not interested in the party, but the school reportedly used the money for the party instead, issuing a receipt for the levy and applying the rest to tuition.
When she demanded an explanation at the school, her child was expelled, locked out with his books, and she was barred from entering the premises.
While protesting outside the school gate, she said: “The management of Aunty Joy School told the teachers to give me back my school fees. They said they’re chasing my kids out because I complained and refused to pay for the party.”
“We were given different accounts for tuition and party fees. We paid for tuition, but they issued a party levy receipt instead. Now they’ve asked the teachers to bring my child’s things out because we complained about the ₦15,000 party fee.”
The video has since sparked widespread reactions online, with many weighing in on the school’s alleged actions.
