Reps To Meet ‘Unconstitutional’ Rivers Sole Administrator Today At 3:00 PM

The House of Representatives is expected to meet with the Rivers State Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), on Thursday at 3:00 p.m.
The proposed meeting was convened at the instance of the Ad-hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight, chaired by Hon. Julius Ihonvbere.
Recall that the earlier meeting scheduled for April 17, 2025, was aborted due to the Sole Administrator’s inability to appear before the Ad-hoc Committee.
Chairman of the House Committee on Media and Public Affairs, Rep. Akin Rotimi, confirmed in a statement made available to Parliamentary Correspondents that: “The Ad-Hoc Committee on Rivers State Oversight has received a formal request from the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (retd), to reschedule the interactive session initially set for today, April 17, 2025, at 4:00 p.m.
“The Committee has acknowledged the request and is in the process of coordinating a new date for the session.
“In the spirit of transparent and effective oversight, the public will be promptly informed once the rescheduled date is confirmed.”
