NPF Vows to Discipline Officers Caught Accepting Money from Chinese National

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has expressed deep concern over a disturbing video that has been circulating on social media, showing police officers allegedly receiving money from a Chinese national.
In response, the Force has condemned the actions depicted, describing them as “unprofessional and unethical.”
A statement issued by the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, clarified that such behavior is contrary to the standards, ethics, and core values that the Nigeria Police Force upholds.
“The actions of the officers in the video do not represent the established ethics, standards, and core values of the Nigeria Police Force,” the statement read. “The Force has zero tolerance for such unprofessional behaviour and other forms of misconduct, which undermine public trust and confidence.”
The officers involved in the incident have already been identified and are undergoing disciplinary procedures, as the Force seeks to address the situation decisively.
Furthermore, the Nigeria Police Force cautioned both individuals and organizations who engage the services of police officers—such as escorts, guards, or other specialized services—against any actions that could damage the reputation and integrity of the Force.
“We caution individuals and organizations privileged to the services of Police personnel to desist from any act capable of degrading the integrity of its officers and bringing the Force to disrepute,” the statement added.
