Nigerian don joins Canada’s think tank
A Nigeria-born lecturer based in Canada, Prof Akolisa Ufodike, has joined the prestigious C.D. Howe Institute, one of Canada’s leading think tanks.
Ufodike, Alberta’s Deputy Minister for Immigration and Multiculturalism, announced his appointment to the institute’s Human Capital Policy Council in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
The C.D. Howe Institute is widely regarded as Canada’s most influential think tank, known for its rigorous, nonpartisan, evidence-based policy research.
“I look forward to contributing to its important work in shaping effective, forward-looking policy,” Ufodike stated, adding that his involvement would focus on raising living standards by promoting public policy.
