Nexus Soccer Academy Partners with SK Bischofshofen to Boost Nigerian Football

Nexus Soccer Academy has partnered with SK Bischofshofen, an Austrian football club, in a move aimed at developing grassroots football in Nigeria and providing international opportunities for young players.

The agreement was facilitated by Oluwabunmi Moses Egbebi, CEO of OE Sports Management Limited, who has been appointed Project Director to oversee its implementation.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Presidents of both clubs—Jamil Abdussalam for Nexus Soccer Academy and Patrick Reiter for SK Bischofshofen. Reiter, a former Olympic judo champion, has moved into sports leadership.

“This is a historic moment for Nexus Soccer Academy and Nigerian football,” said Abdussalam. “Partnering with a prestigious European club like SK Bischofshofen provides a new dimension to our development programs. We are committed to producing world-class players, and this collaboration will play a key role in achieving that vision.”

The partnership will provide training programs, mentorship, and international exposure for Nigerian players. It will also allow for knowledge exchange between Nigerian and Austrian coaches.

Patrick Reiter said, “Football is a global language, and through this partnership, we aim to contribute to the growth of young African talents. Nigeria has always been a powerhouse in football, and we believe this project will strengthen the connection between our two footballing cultures.”

With Egbebi leading the project, the initiative will focus on player development and football infrastructure in Nigeria. The collaboration will follow global sports development standards.

As both clubs begin this project, attention will be on the young players who will take part in the program.
