A young man identified as Phumlani has taken to social media to share the heartbreaking moment his mother found out about his sexuality.

In a post that has now gone viral with over 488K views, Phumlani said his mom was very upset and disappointed after he came out as gay. According to him, the voice note she sent shattered him emotionally.

“Mom just found out that I’m gay. She’s very upset and disappointed. The voice note she sent killed my soul. Nevertheless, life goes on,” he wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

The emotional post has since sparked mixed reactions online. While many are showing him love and support, others are debating the issue from cultural and religious angles.
