A Nigerian man has recounted a terrifying brush with suspected kidnappers believed to be Fulani herdsmen in Delta State.

Sharing his experience on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter), the man described how he narrowly avoided being abducted. While he and his friends managed to flee the scene, their vehicle was riddled with bullets during the escape.

According to his account, the group had just gotten into their car and were preparing to leave when armed men suddenly emerged from the surrounding bushes, shouting and demanding that they stop.

Acting on instinct, the driver quickly shifted into reverse and sped away from the ambush, managing to escape despite coming under fire.

A video accompanying the post shows multiple bullet holes in the vehicle. In the footage, the shaken man can be heard recounting the ordeal, saying, “We had just parked and entered the car when they came out of nowhere, shouting at us…”
