A woman has raised concerns after a man allegedly threatened to publicly shame her online for not visiting his house, despite him sending her ₦150k for transportation.
She took to her social media page on X (formerly Twitter) to reveal the incident, sharing a screenshot of their conversation. In the exchange, the man flaunted his wealth, claiming to be a billionaire, and insisted she meet him, inquiring about the days she was available.
While some details of their chat remained private, the woman confirmed that she received the ₦150k transport fare from him but ultimately did not follow through on her promise to visit. She revealed that, in response, the man now plans to humiliate her publicly and shared her story online to set the record straight.
In her post, she wrote: “Someone is threatening to drag me over transport fare. I was minding my business when this man approached me, saying he would like to see me.”
“I didn’t respond, and we exchanged snaps. Then he asked if I could come to Abuja, but I didn’t reply. He offered to send money for the trip, and I agreed. He sent the ₦150k, which I’ve already used. Now he’s demanding it back.”
“I never asked him for the money, and I never confirmed that I would be going to Abuja. Just putting this out here in case anything happens.”
Her post triggered a surge of responses from concerned individuals who shared their insights on the issue.

@AfamDeluxo: “Keep collecting money from strangers and refusing to honor your agreement. One day, you’ll collect the one that’ll have you dreaming of Bola Tinubu chasing you with a cutlass through Oshodi. Y’all really underestimate the spiritual weight of money and broken promises. Smh.”
@PoundsAlvin: “If you wud listen to the advice of evri1,is best you send him back his money,if he traces you down, you could go to jail for it,it’s wrong and it’s against the law,if you didn’t want 2 go there, you would just refused him and refused his money, yet you collected his money,o wrong.”
@salaudamola11: “You should have told him you won’t ve able to show up, instead of collecting the money.”
@AmiraMiria24155: “Is this a joke? Refund him and stop making excuses.. he told you the purpose of the money.”
@damboy__: “But you acted as if you’ll show up till he sent you the money then you changed the whole thing and spent the money, waoh!!! What’s your best color of clothes to wear? Green or Blue?”
@davidoghe: “You are a tiff and bronze digger, you didn’t respond to him but when he said should he send money to book for your trans, miracle suddenly happened, you then can reply. Now you are saying you were on your own, if dem never off one of una for this scam, the rest of you won’t have sense. If you ain’t shameless, you shouldn’t even bring this up here saying Incase. Any Incase that happens is a case close..”
