A lady, Nkemdilim Love, recently shared a personal story on Facebook about an unexpected reaction from her ex-boyfriend after she turned down his marriage proposal.

In her post, Nkemdilim recounted how she and her boyfriend had been in a relationship for a period of time, during which he proposed marriage. However, she declined his offer. In response, the man decided to collect all the gifts he had given her during their relationship.

According to Nkemdilim, the total value of the items he took back was nearly 3 million naira.

While she mentioned that the action didn’t cause her significant emotional pain, she admitted that she felt used by her ex-partner’s behavior.

Her words read …

“So my Nsukka ex-boyfriend came and carried all the things he bought for me because I didn’t marry him. I refunded him with 2.1 million Naira worth of property. Am not pained but I just feel used”

She stated that she not only returned the properties on Tuesday but also acquired more for him and refunded him some cash.

Her words read …

“I gave him everything back yesterday. Me sef no believe am lol I bought new property for him and refunded him some money as well.”

In another post she said …

“To some of asking me what I offered my nsuka ex!! When his yahoo have not started paying I feed and clothed him paid his rent for good 9 years from university days , I spent 1.8 million on his hospital bills when he was diagnosed with mental illness”
