Katsina CP leads national day celebration with medical outreach

As part of the activities lined up to celebrate the maiden National Police Day, 2025, the Katsina State Commissioner of Police, CP Bello Shehu, on Friday led a team of the command’s medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, on a free medical outreach to the people of Katsina.

The medical outreach which took place at the Kangiwa Square, Kofar Soro quarters, Katsina metropolis, offered free medical services to hundreds of residents, including children, women, and the elderly.

The programme aimed at promoting the health and wellbeing of the people.

The services included medical consultations, blood pressure checks, blood sugar tests, and the distribution of free medications and treated mosquito nets to the beneficiaries.

A team of the command’s medical professionals, including doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, were on hand to ensure smooth service delivery.

Shehu, who flagged off the free medical outreach, expressed delight at the turnout and commended the medical team for their selfless service.

“I want to also thank the community for your cooperation and support to the command.

“The programme is a demonstration of the command’s commitment to serving and protecting the citizens.

“The medical outreach programme is one of the several activities lined up to celebrate the National Police Day 2025. The celebration is aimed at promoting community policing, recognising the sacrifices of police officers, and strengthening the bond between the police and the public,” he said.
