Kano: Rano Emirate Urged to Strengthen Area Security Measures

Kano State Deputy Governor, Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, has called on the Rano Emirate Council to enhance security in the area by maintaining proper records of immigrants and new residents.
The Deputy Governor made the call on Monday during a Sallah homage visit by the Emir of Rano, Alhaji Muhammad Isa Umaru, to the Government House.
Speaking on security concerns, Gwarzo said, “We must ensure that the Emir and his council maintain proper documentation of immigrants, including those acquiring land and property in the area. This is crucial for our collective security.”
He also spoke about government plans for the farming season, saying, “Our administration remains committed to providing subsidized fertilizers to our farmers. We encourage the people of Rano Emirate to take full advantage of this farming season to boost food production for both consumption and economic growth.”
Gwarzo urged residents to pray for adequate rainfall to support farming activities.
During the visit, the Emir of Rano commended the government’s performance and submitted requests for support.
“We commend Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration for its remarkable developmental efforts across Kano State. The Rano Emirate pledges our continued support for all government initiatives.”
He added, “We appeal for government intervention to address the persistent electricity challenges in our emirate. Additionally, we request the inclusion of proper drainage systems in the ongoing 5km road projects to prevent flooding during the rainy season.”
In response, Deputy Governor Gwarzo assured that the issues raised would be considered by the state government.
