Kano Ex-Lawmakers Appoint DSP Barau Jibrin as Grand Patron
The Kano Ex-Legislators Forum has appointed Deputy Senate President Barau I. Jibrin as its Grand Patron. The decision was announced during a courtesy visit by the Forum’s members in Kano, led by Chairman Comrade Alhassan Uba Idris and Secretary Umar S. Muhammad.
According to the Forum’s leadership, the appointment recognizes Senator Barau’s “exceptional leadership skills, dedication, and commitment to excellence.”
In his response, the Deputy Senate President expressed his appreciation for the gesture.
“I thank the leadership of the veteran former parliamentarians for deeming me worthy of this appointment. Insha Allah, I will not let you down,” Barau said.
He pledged to continue his public service efforts, stating, “We will continue to work hard for the development of our state and the country as a whole.” He added, “The welfare of our people and the development of our state and nation will always be at the top of our agenda.”
He concluded with a call for unity and collaboration: “Let’s do it together.”
