The Chieftain of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Buba Galadima, has expressed disappointment with former President Muhammadu Buhari, saying he gained nothing from working with him for over a decade.

Speaking on AIT on Wednesday evening, Galadima said his support for Buhari during a 13-year political journey amounted to nothing. He also revealed that his daughter, who worked under the Buhari administration, was denied her salary for four years due to his public criticism of the former president.

“For 13 years, I worked tirelessly for Buhari. My daughter also worked in his government, posted to Osinbajo’s office. Yet, she wasn’t paid a single kobo throughout her service,” Galadima said. “He (Buhari) personally instructed that her salary be withheld. She worked for Nigeria for free.”

Galadima challenged anyone, including the former president, to provide evidence contradicting his claims, such as payment receipts.

Buhari’s former spokesperson, Garba Shehu, did not respond to inquiries about Galadima’s accusations.

Galadima also spoke about President Bola Tinubu, saying his daughters contacted Tinubu directly and received assistance in finding employment.

“One of them, a medical doctor, couldn’t find work. The younger one had just finished NYSC. Out of desperation, they scrolled through my phone, found President Tinubu’s number, and called him. He thought it was me calling, but they explained who they were and told him things were tough,” he narrated.

“Immediately, Tinubu told Gbenga Komolafe, the head of NUPRC: ‘Go and give my friend’s daughter a job.’ That was it. No delay, no politics,” he added.

Galadima said one of his daughters is now preparing to travel to Mecca to express her gratitude to God for the opportunity.

Reflecting on his years with Buhari, Galadima concluded that his life did not improve. He contrasted that with Tinubu, who he said acknowledged relationships and responded accordingly.
