Hamza Baba’s Appointment by Tinubu a Win for the Grassroots – Group

Residents of Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area in Kano State have expressed satisfaction with the appointment of Hamza Ibrahim Baba as Programme Manager of the Government Enterprise and Empowerment Programme (GEEP) by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a statement issued on Sunday, a community group known as Dawakin Tofa Concerned Citizens described the appointment as “a victory for the people,” reflecting local recognition of Hamza Baba’s contributions.

The group’s Secretary, Ibrahim Yaro Dawakin Tofa (Santurakin Sardaunan Kasar Hausa), noted that Hamza Baba’s appointment follows years of dedicated service, particularly during his tenure as Special Assistant on Humanitarian Affairs to both the 9th and 10th National Assembly Speakers, including Femi Gbajabiamila.

“We commend President Tinubu for recognizing Hamza Baba’s talent and commitment to our community,” said Ibrahim Yaro. “This appointment demonstrates the President’s dedication to merit, inclusivity, and regional representation. We are confident that Hamza’s leadership and experience will significantly enhance the GEEP initiative.”

The forum emphasized Hamza Baba’s longstanding involvement in humanitarian and grassroots development efforts.

“His contributions to Dawakin Tofa’s progress are well known and have left a lasting impact,” the statement added. “His appointment is a testament to his capability and dedication.”

The group further expressed optimism that the development would inspire more young people in the area to contribute positively to society.

“We are proud to see one of our own entrusted with a national responsibility,” Ibrahim Yaro added.
