Gov. Yusuf Announces Employment for Best ADUSTECH Graduate, N15bn Development Plan

The Governor of Kano State, Engr. Abba Kabir Yusuf, has announced automatic employment for the best graduating student of Aliko Dangote University of Science and Technology (ADUSTECH), Wudil, and foreign scholarships for nine other graduates.
The announcement was made during the university’s 5th Convocation ceremony on Saturday at the Convocation Arena in Wudil.
The event also included the conferment of Honorary Doctorate Degrees on five individuals, including the university’s founder and former governor of Kano State, Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso.
Governor Yusuf, who attended as the Visitor to the university, stated that the state government had approved an additional 100 hectares for the university’s expansion, which will be used for hostels, laboratories, lecture halls, and road infrastructure.
“In furtherance of our commitment to youth development and educational excellence, I am pleased to announce that the best graduating student is hereby employed by the Kano State Government,” the governor said. “Furthermore, we are awarding foreign scholarships to nine exceptional students to pursue their postgraduate studies abroad.”
Alhaji Aliko Dangote, Chancellor of the University, stated that all nine First Class graduates would be offered jobs. He also announced a N15 billion development project over five years.
“The university will soon witness the construction of world-class student hostels, a modern engineering laboratory, and a Senate Building, among others,” said Dangote. “We also plan to build a computer lab with uninterrupted internet, a mini solar plant, and provide employment to our best graduates.”
Vice Chancellor Professor Shehu Alhaji Musa listed recent activities during his tenure, including course accreditations, new academic programs, and staff development.
Sen. Rabi’u Musa Kwankwaso, who received an honorary degree, reflected on his role in establishing the institution in 2001.
“I am proud to see the university we started over two decades ago grow into a hub of innovation and academic excellence,” Kwankwaso said. “The progress recorded today proves that our initial vision was not in vain.”
Other recipients of honorary degrees were Alhaji Dahiru Barau Mangal, Engineer Prince Arthur Ikpechukwu Eze, Dr. Ahmed Adeniyi Raji (SAN), and Alhaji Mustapha Ado Muhammad.
Governor Yusuf concluded with a message to the graduates: “Today is not the end, but a call to serve humanity,” he said. “Go forth and be ambassadors of change.”
