Popular Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele has hit back at a social media critic who slammed her for offering support to skit maker Akinyoola Ayoola, popularly known as Kamo.
The critic, identified as Oriretan Honour, also known online as Goodluck Has Finished, publicly questioned Akindele’s intentions, claiming it was inappropriate for Kamo to accept gifts from a divorced woman. He also referenced a moment when Akindele allegedly kissed Kamo shortly before his wedding, suggesting it was improper behavior.
Oriretan gave the content creator a 48-hour ultimatum to return the gifts, claiming that women often use financial gestures to manipulate men emotionally. He advised Kamo to tread carefully.
In response, Akindele didn’t hold back. Writing in Yoruba, she lashed out at Oriretan, saying “his life is spoiled,” a remark that instantly gained traction online. Her fans rallied around her, harshly criticizing the commentator and mocking his name.
This isn’t the first time Oriretan has stirred controversy with celebrities. He previously criticized actress Ini Edo over her closeness to actor IK Ogbonna, warning the actor to be wary of her.
Despite the drama, Funke Akindele has remained firm in her generosity, with many applauding her for using her influence to uplift others.
