Final-Year Nursing Student Dies Mysteriously in Boyfriend’s Room

Tragedy has struck the Sunyani Nursing and Midwifery Training College following the mysterious death of a final-year student, Gifty Kyere, who was found lifeless in her boyfriend’s room in Jinijini, located in Ghana’s Bono Region.

The 28-year-old student had reportedly left home a day prior to the incident, stating she was going to retrieve her school fees and some personal belongings. Her unexpected death has plunged her family and community into mourning.

Her father, Pastor Kyere Jonathan of Agape Evangelical Church in Jinijini, expressed shock upon learning that Gifty had gone to visit her boyfriend instead of returning home as she had promised.

The boyfriend, identified as 23-year-old Edmond Ayomah, is currently at large. Although he has reportedly contacted others with intentions to surrender to authorities, he remains on the run.

Ayomah allegedly claimed that Gifty died from a sudden asthma attack and that he was unable to take her to the hospital. However, authorities have raised doubts about his explanation.

Unconfirmed reports suggest that Gifty may have been coerced into terminating a pregnancy, a factor that investigators believe could be linked to her sudden passing.

Police have launched a full investigation into the incident and are working to locate Ayomah as questions continue to mount about the true cause of Gifty’s death.
