Nigerian singer Johnny Drille has revealed how becoming a father has significantly reshaped his understanding of love, responsibility, and the sacrifices parents make.

In an interview with Dose of Society, the Mavin Records artist spoke about the shift in his personal values, emphasizing that family now plays a central role in his life.

“The one rule I live by is family first. I would abandon anything I’m doing anywhere in the world if my family needs me, super importantly,” Drille shared.

The singer, known for his emotionally rich music and heartfelt lyrics, said fatherhood has deepened his appreciation for his own parents and the efforts they made while raising him.

“My parents didn’t have much; it was really hard sometimes that we didn’t have food to eat, but they figured out a way. Now, I have a child and I know what that feels like.”

Drille went on to describe how his family has always been his emotional anchor during difficult moments in his life.

“Family has always been my support system. Every time I got overwhelmed by the world around me, I always run back to family. And, it all felt better. They have been there for me, especially, my parents,” he said.

He also touched on his aspiration to give back to his loved ones, particularly his parents, who he says are a major source of motivation.

“My biggest dream in life is to be able to take care of them, and get them to see the world,” he added.
