Nigerian influencer and media figure, Enioluwa Adeoluwa, has taken to social media to express his frustration over the quality of food served at various fast-food restaurants on Lagos Island, raising alarms about hygiene and food preparation standards.
In a heartfelt and unfiltered message shared via his Instagram page, Enioluwa, who once cried at his best friend’s wedding, revealed that although he usually avoids discussing brands publicly, his recent dining experiences left him with no choice but to speak out.
According to Enioluwa, many fast-food establishments on the Island serve food that appears to be poorly handled and of extremely low quality. He shared his suspicion that the food might be contaminated due to negligence in its preparation.
He said:
“I don’t like speaking on brands. But really, someone needs to check the people that are cooking food on the island, like fast food restaurants.
The only person cooking good food on this island is Hilda. All this fast food… guys, I swear to you, the food smells like pee. I’m sure someone peed inside this food.”
Clearly distressed by his experiences, he explained that the situation has forced him to start making his own meals at home, as he can no longer trust what is being served at many eateries.
He emphasized that what some restaurants are offering can barely be called food.
Known for his vibrant content on lifestyle, fashion, and food, Enioluwa also took a moment to praise celebrity chef Hilda Baci, applauding her commitment to high culinary standards amid a broader decline in quality.
He lamented,
“This is why I started cooking at home. These people are cooking rubbish.
