Drama Unfolds As Deeone Accuses VeryDarkman Of Orchestrating Terry Apala’s Arrest

A new controversy has erupted as Nigerian comedian DeeOne publicly accuses popular critic VeryDarkMan of masterminding the arrest of singer Terry Apala.

Previously, GistLover had reported unconfirmed claims from online sources suggesting that Terry Apala was remanded by a court over alleged Naira mutilation. This development came shortly after Terry Apala issued a 48-hour ultimatum demanding VeryDarkMan remove a defamatory video he posted.

Adding fuel to the fire, VeryDarkMan recently alleged that Terry Apala and DJ Tunez — a close associate of Afrobeats icon Wizkid — were arraigned by the EFCC for Naira mutilation but were later released after paying a sum in U.S. dollars.

Amid these swirling reports, DeeOne has stirred further drama by alleging that VeryDarkMan paid ₦5 million to facilitate Terry Apala’s arrest, supposedly in retaliation for an unfavorable letter sent to him.

In a video shared online, DeeOne said:

“You paid ₦5 million to have him arrested because you didn’t like the letter he sent you. Then you came online celebrating it like it was karma.”

DeeOne also accused VeryDarkMan of artificially boosting engagement on his Instagram videos and predicted that his influence would fade by the end of 2025.

“Everyone I’ve called out before has never bounced back. You’re trying to silence me on social media, yet you want to continue talking,” he added.
