According to a report by GistLover, the tension between the two women emerged shortly after they celebrated the birthdays of their daughters—Hailey and Imade—just days apart.
Laplubelle marked her daughter Hailey Adeleke’s 8th birthday with an extravagant party and shared a carousel of photos on Instagram, featuring herself, Davido, Hailey, and several guests in attendance. The celebration appeared to go smoothly until rumors surfaced that Sophia Momodu had unfollowed Laplubelle on Instagram.
Sophia’s daughter, Imade, turned 10 on May 14, just four days after Hailey’s party. To mark the occasion, Sophia dressed her daughter in an Arabian-themed outfit for a photoshoot, sharing the images with her followers.
In response to Sophia’s social media move, Laplubelle reportedly unfollowed her the very next day, suggesting growing animosity between the two women, who were once friends.
Prior to this online spat, videos from May 10 showed Davido attending Hailey’s birthday event in Senegal. The footage captured a heartwarming moment as the young girl clung tightly to her father, clearly excited by his presence. The singer spent time posing for photos with Hailey and her friends before sharing on Instagram that he had departed Senegal for the Ivory Coast.
