Cooperative Groups Adviser, Jamilu Abbas, Hails Governor Yusuf on National Award

The Special Adviser on Cooperative Groups to the Kano State Governor, Honourable Jamilu Abbas, has congratulated Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for being named Leadership Newspaper’s Governor of the Year 2024, describing the recognition as a reflection of the governor’s commitment to good governance.

In a statement issued to journalists in Kano, Honourable Abbas commended the governor’s efforts in implementing policies aimed at benefiting the general public.

“Governor Yusuf’s recognition by a national daily like Leadership Newspaper is a clear indication that his administration is focused on improving the lives of ordinary citizens,” he said.

Abbas also commented on the governor’s approach to governance. “On behalf of myself and my family, I congratulate the people’s governor on this well-deserved award. It demonstrates that effective governance has firmly taken root in our state,” he added.

The Leadership Governor of the Year 2024 award is one of several titles recently bestowed upon Governor Yusuf. Others include Governor of the Year (Education) by Vanguard Newspaper and African Governor of the Year (Good Governance) by Heritage Times Magazine.
