The incident came to light through a viral video shared by user @PH_Socials on X (formerly Twitter), showing the suspects during a community-led operation. According to the clip, the group involved consists of four people—two men and two women—but only the male suspects have reportedly been arrested so far.

A voice in the background of the video can be heard identifying the suspects as part of a child trafficking ring operating within Oyigbo Local Government Area.
“These are the people who have been trafficking children in Oyigbo Local Government. We’ve caught them,” the speaker said, also alleging that the suspects had collected ₦800,000 for the kidnapped child.

The disturbing revelation has triggered widespread concern online, with many social media users calling for a full investigation and swift justice.
