Pascal Okechukwu, widely known as Cubana Chiefpriest, recently posted a video of legendary Nigerian highlife artist Bright Chimezie dancing to a track by Davido that features a sample of Chimezie’s music.
Earlier, Davido shared a clip of a phone conversation with Chimezie, where he spoke about how the veteran inspired his song With You, which features fellow Nigerian artist Omah Lay. During the call, Davido praised Chimezie’s influence and encouraged him to listen to the song, which he described as a potential global sensation.
Following the exchange, Chimezie responded with a cheerful video of himself dancing to the track, visibly enjoying the homage. Along with the video, he expressed his thanks to Davido, commending the musical piece.
He wrote: “Such a wonderful piece of work! Congratulations, @davido, you are blessed. @Cubana_chiefpriest, Yagaziera gi nwannem.”
Cubana Chiefpriest, while sharing the video, added his own message, writing:
