Nollywood actress Biola Bayo has made a passionate plea to Nigerians for help on behalf of veteran actress Jumoke George, who has been facing dire circumstances for years.
In an emotional interview with Biola, Jumoke revealed that she has been homeless for the past 5 to 6 years, living in her church with the pastor’s wife providing her with food. The seasoned actress also shared her struggles with her health, stating that she has been in and out of the hospital since January 2nd. Additionally, she disclosed that she is now in debt, with her son borrowing up to 2 million naira to help cover her medical expenses. To make matters worse, she still needs to undergo both a brain and heart test, but lacks the funds to pay for these procedures.
Moved by the heartbreaking revelation, Biola Bayo shared that she received a voice note from Jumoke detailing her painful and disheartening situation. The message so deeply troubled Biola that she could not wait any longer. She immediately gathered her team and went to where Jumoke was staying.
In her emotional appeal, Biola said that hearing Jumoke’s story left her with a heavy heart and that the veteran actress desperately needs help. Biola has since called on Nigerians to come together and support Jumoke George in her time of need.
