Atiku: Tinubu’s Security System Has Failed Nationwide

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has condemned the worsening insecurity in Nigeria, stating that President Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has collapsed and is failing citizens across the country.
Atiku’s reaction comes on the heels of another deadly attack in Plateau State’s Bokkos Local Government Area (LGA), where over 10 people were reportedly killed by suspected bandits on Wednesday night.
The Bokkos Cultural Development Council (BCDC), which confirmed the incident, said the latest violence occurred just a week after gunmen attacked mourners in Ruwi community, also in Bokkos LGA. In total, over 40 people have been reportedly killed in the area within a single week.
Taking to his verified X handle on Friday, Atiku expressed deep concern, saying that such killings are no longer isolated events but part of a growing national crisis.
“The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become an endemic nationwide phenomenon with repeated killings, more of which do not even make the headlines,” he wrote.
He lamented that Nigerians are being forced to accept these tragedies as normal, with many attacks going unreported in the media.
Offering condolences to the affected communities, Atiku urged the President to overhaul and reconfigure the current security structure to ensure the protection of lives and property across the nation.
