Abia PCRC mobilises resources to rebuild destroyed police station

The Chairman of Police Community Relations Committee, Abia State, Iheanyi Igboanulam, says resources are being mobilised to rebuild the Ariaria Police Station destroyed during the end SARS Protest.

Igboanulam, who made this known Thursday during the monthly security meeting of the PCRC Abia State, held at the Police Officers Mess Umuahia, said they have also started community consultations to bring Umuopara Police Division back to life.

The PCRC Chairman thanked members for their support, stating, “Nothing will be achieved without your individual and collective support” and urging them to also prepare for the forthcoming forty-first anniversary of the committee.

“The PCRC has been formally registered as a cooperative society. Divisions should also register to access grants and other benefits coming from the government and donor agencies.”

In their remarks, the chairman emeritus, Abia State Ambassador Emma Nwosu, and the patron of PCRC, Abayi Division, Ambassador Ngozi Ukaegbu, commended the state leadership of PCRC for the tremendous work they are doing and pledged their continued support in taking the committee to a greater height.

The monthly security meeting featured security reports from Eziama, Central Police Station Umuahia, and Isuikwuato Divisions.
