Economic Reform Best for Nigeria, Endure for a Better Future – Governor Sule

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and committed to the country’s economic reforms, assuring that the current hardship is only a phase towards a more prosperous future.

In his Eid-el-Kabir message to the people of Nasarawa State, the governor acknowledged the challenges many Nigerians are currently facing but encouraged citizens to remain prayerful and supportive of the federal government’s economic transformation agenda.

“We are optimistic that the economic policies being put in place are for the best interest of the Nigerian people,” Governor Sule said. “As citizens, we have a responsibility to continue to support Mr. President in order to achieve this and other developmental initiatives for the good of all.”

He congratulated the Muslim faithful in the state for witnessing this year’s Eid celebration and encouraged them to use the occasion to deepen their devotion to God and strengthen bonds with one another.

“It is in view of this that I urge us to continue to preach peace, show love, understanding, tolerance and good neighbourliness amongst ourselves,” he said.

Governor Sule also emphasized the importance of preserving peace and unity across the state. He reminded residents that the Nigerian Constitution grants every citizen the right to live and work in any part of the country without discrimination or fear.

“This is why I wish to reassure our brothers from other regions of the country that Nasarawa State is a cosmopolitan society that accommodates everybody irrespective of tribe, region, religion or any other creed,” he said. “I, therefore, call on all and sundry to remain law-abiding citizens and go on in pursuing their lawful means of livelihood.”

As celebrations continue, the governor appealed to motorists to drive safely and urged law enforcement agencies, particularly the Federal Road Safety Commission, to intensify their efforts in enforcing traffic rules.

“In conclusion, as we celebrate this Eid-el-Kabir, I appeal to all road users to obey traffic regulations, just as I call on the officials of Federal Road Safety Commission and other security agencies to intensify enforcement of the laws during the festivity,” Governor Sule added.
