A Ghanaian lady has caused widespread anger on social media after reportedly lying about having fibroids to raise money, which she allegedly used to purchase a fridge and turkey for starting a business.

This information comes from a post shared on X (formerly Twitter) by user @Hybrid_Ola, who said the woman misled donors by providing an ultrasound scan to make her story seem authentic.

“She asked people to help her with surgery for fibroids. She even provided an ultrasound to make her story look legit. ₦722k was contributed for her, only for people to later find out she never had fibroids and used the money to buy a fridge,” the post read.

@Hybrid_Ola also shared a video supporting the claims and noted that although the woman is Ghanaian, most of her donors were Nigerians.

“She’s Ghanaian, but everyone who donated to her are her friends in Nigeria,” she added.
