Desmond Elliot Apologize To Upset Fan Over His EndSars Comment About Naija Youths

Nigerian actor-turned-politician, Desmond Elliot, has issued another public apology for his previous remarks about Nigerian youths made during the October 2020 #EndSARS protests.
The lawmaker, who represents Surulere I constituency in Lagos State’s House of Assembly, faced significant criticism after referring to youths protesting the Lekki Tollgate shootings as “children.” In addition, he had proposed social media regulations in the wake of the protest, which sparked outrage across the nation.
Despite offering an apology at the time, stating, “We’re all built on love. We can change things through love,” some Nigerians still harbor resentment toward him.
During his recent appearance at the AMVCA, one fan expressed their lingering frustration, writing: “I don’t know why, but ever since that year you spoke against us, ‘Nigerian youths,’ seeing your posts just frustrates me. No offense, but it is what it is.”
In response, Desmond again apologized, replying: “Ngwanu no vex. Na wa o.”
