A man has shared an emotionally painful revelation on social media about discovering he is not the biological father of his four children, after a DNA test conducted by his oldest daughter as part of a school ancestry project.
In a viral post on X (formerly Twitter), the man recounted how his world was shattered when his daughter confided in him about her test results. She had learned through the ancestry test that she was not genetically linked to him.
“I remember a few years ago, my daughter had to take a DNA test for school to trace her ancestry,” he wrote. “She came to me in tears, revealing that the test showed that we weren’t related.”
Initially in shock, the man went with his daughter to confirm the result with a paternity test, which confirmed that he was not her biological father. Determined to know the truth, he proceeded to conduct DNA tests on his other children. The devastating results showed that three of his four kids were not his biological children—only the youngest child was, though he refrained from testing them due to their young age.
“I tested my second child—not mine. The next one—not mine,” he explained, “I stopped testing after the youngest because they are too young to understand the situation.”
After learning the truth, the man confronted his wife, expecting some form of explanation or accountability. However, she denied any wrongdoing, brushing off the results by questioning why he would trust a DNA test over his own wife’s word.
