Jigawa’s Commissioner for Youths emerges Chairman, Progressive Commissioners of Youth Forum

Progressive Commissioners of Youth Forum, has elected Honorable Sagir Musa, Jigawa state Commissioner of Information, Youth and Sports as chairman of the forum.

A communiqué issued after the Progressive Governors Forum’s Quarterly Strategy Meeting of Honourable Commissioners of Youth of the 16 APC Governed States, made this known.

It said that the meeting unanimously elected the Jigawa’s Sagir Musa as Chairman, Imo’s Dr Emeka Mandela as Secretary and Kaduna’s Rabi Salisu as Public Relations Officer simultaneously.

The PGF Quarterly Strategy meeting of commissioners of Youth of APC Governed States, convened with the aim of institutionalizing frameworks, platforms and partnerships that empower the youths thus building a progressive future for Nigerians across APC states.

The engagement was convened under the coordination of the PGF Secretariat, and in furtherance of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR and the APC-led administrations at subnational levels.

The meeting provided an invaluable platform for peer review, state-level experience sharing, harmonising youth development framework, and integrating digital innovation into empowerment programs across APC states.

In the resolutions of the forum according to the communique, the commissioners commended President Bola Tinubu, for deploying the energy, creativity and aspirations of young Nigerians in shaping a more prosperous and united Nigeria.

The meeting applauded the Progressive Governors, for investing in skills training digital infrastructure, entrepreneurship, creative economies and sports.

Moreso, they also committed to continually engage in youth-driven transformation thus building a progressive future for Nigeria.

Meanwhile, the Forum resolved to adopt a unified Inter-State Youth Development Framework, to foster cross-state collaboration, policy coherence, and mutual learning.

This strategic alignment is essential for scaling best practices, enhancing programme delivery, and sustaining youth empowerment across APC-governed states.
