Deeone Slams VeryDarkman Over Past Remarks About Obi Cubana

Nigerian comedian Aderombi Adedayo Martin, popularly known as Deeone, has sparked fresh controversy online after calling out social media critic Martins Vincent Otse, aka VeryDarkMan (VDM), for resurfaced comments he made about billionaire businessman Obi Cubana.
The video in question shows VDM—recently released from the custody of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC)—accusing Obi Cubana of turning his back on Nigerian youths. In his words:
“Youths are crying; they have never heard your voice speak for them. But you will be carrying money up and down to buy people’s conscience. The youths are looking for job but you brought alcohol for them to drink up and down. Hey we don’t have a job, oya carry alcohol and drink.”
Reacting to the video, Deeone voiced his criticism on Instagram, questioning Cubana Chief Priest’s relationship with VDM. Deeone expressed confusion over Chief Priest maintaining ties with someone who once spoke harshly against Obi Cubana, his mentor and benefactor.
He wrote:
“VeryDarkMind is trying to bring Obi Cubana’s business down. Obi Cubana made Cubana Chief Priest who he is today, so how come Chief Priest is loyal to the boy who wanted to bring his master down and still friends with Obi Cubana at the same time? Can the enemy of your friend be your friend??”
