Kano Hisbah Condemns Hamisu Breaker’s Song “Amanata” Over Alleged Immorality

The Kano State Hisbah Board has raised concerns over the popular Hausa song Amanata by singer Hamisu Breaker, urging young people to avoid listening to it.

This position was made public by Dr. Khadija Sagir, Deputy Commander-General of Hisbah in charge of women affairs. She stated that the song contains elements she described as promoting immorality, citing the manner in which women dance and use suggestive tones in the accompanying visuals.

Dr. Khadija further stated that based on its content, the song is considered haram (forbidden) under Islamic teachings.

Hamisu Breaker is a well-known figure in the Hausa music scene, often drawing attention for his use of poetic expressions and traditional proverbs. His songs typically revolve around themes of love and societal challenges.
