British Woman Slams Trolls Over Marriage to Young Nigerian Man

A British woman known online as Mama Yara Naija has addressed harsh criticism about her marriage to a younger Nigerian man, confronting claims that she’s too old and has reached menopause.

In a strongly worded response to trolls on social media, Mama Yara dismissed the accusations, asserting that she is still very much in her fertile years and not undergoing menopause as many have suggested.

She also tackled the recurring narrative that her husband married her solely for immigration benefits, stating that their union is built on love, not for documentation purposes.

According to her, she and her husband are living happily together, and she urged critics to focus on their own lives rather than trying to tear down others’ happiness.

“You say I’m old, well actually, I’m perfectly within my prime years. You say I’m rejected, well actually, since the age of 15 I’ve only been single for 8 months after my divorce, then I met Chief, so who is being rejected,” she wrote in a Facebook post on Monday, April 21.
