He had put money into the scheme while it was still functioning, only to lose everything. At that point, he was unemployed after being let go from his bank job.
To the surprise of many, he later invested in Cbex, another Ponzi scheme that failed in 2025. Clara Odeyemi recounted this story on X, noting that the man is her coworker.
She wrote: “My colleague was sacked from Intercontinental Bank and he invested all he had in MMM(Moku, Mogbe, Modaran). I was surprised he invested in CBEX too. He lost everything again.”
