Ex-President Buhari: My Asset Profile Unchanged Since 2015

Former President Muhammadu Buhari says he left office with the same physical assets he had before becoming Nigeria’s leader in 2015.
Buhari made this known while receiving members of the Progressive Governors’ Forum (PGF) at his residence in Kaduna, according to a statement by his media aide, Garba Shehu.
“I have not added a pin to what I owned in 2015,” Buhari reportedly said during the meeting.
He urged the governors to embrace a citizen-focused approach to leadership by prioritizing the needs and welfare of the people in their governance.
“Leadership presents both challenge and opportunity,” the former president noted, stressing the need to balance addressing pressing national issues with seizing opportunities for development.
Buhari also encouraged the APC governors to place public interest above personal ambition. He expressed confidence in their ability to steer their states in the right direction under the APC platform.
He thanked the governors for the visit, saying he was familiar with many of them but pleased to meet the newer faces among them. He also acknowledged the renovation of his Kaduna residence, thanking the administration of President Bola Tinubu for the gesture.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, who chairs the PGF, led the delegation and commended Buhari for his unwavering commitment to Nigeria’s democracy and the growth of the APC.
“Many of us recall with pride the principled role you played in the founding of APC. That legacy continues to shape our party’s identity and direction,” Uzodimma said.
He added that Buhari’s recent public reaffirmation of loyalty to the APC came at a crucial moment for the party.
“We are especially gratified to hear your public affirmation, only a few weeks ago, that APC remains your party of choice. That declaration could not have come at a better time,” he said.
Uzodimma went on to describe Buhari as a towering figure in Nigerian politics, noting that he remains the only opposition candidate in Nigeria’s history to defeat a sitting president at the polls.
He expressed optimism about the party’s future under President Bola Tinubu, whom he praised as “bold, reform-driven, and committed to progress.”
