2027: Pro-Fubara Protesters Urge Him to Join Atiku, Accuse Wike of Tinubu Plot

Supporters of suspended Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara have called on him to run as Atiku Abubakar’s running mate in the 2027 presidential election.
In a viral video posted on Facebook by some of Fubara’s loyalists, a woman dressed in black — described as a staunch supporter — was seen protesting alongside others. She declared:
“We want Fubara reinstated as Governor. But beyond that, we’re waiting for a northern alliance. What we want is for our Governor to run as vice president with Atiku Abubakar in 2027.”
She went on to criticize a recent meeting between Fubara and former Governor Nyesom Wike, claiming that Wike asked Fubara to support President Tinubu’s re-election — a suggestion they firmly rejected.
The group’s remarks reflect growing grassroots support for an Atiku-Fubara ticket, hinting at deeper political undercurrents as the 2027 elections draw closer.
As the drama unfolds, it appears the early moves on the 2027 political chessboard are already beginning — with Fubara’s name emerging in the mix.
