15 Dead, 10 Injured in Kano Road Crash

A devastating road accident on Thursday afternoon in Chiromawa Village, Garun Mallam Local Government Area of Kano State, has claimed the lives of 15 people and left 10 others injured.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama disclosed the incident in a statement on Friday, citing intelligence sources.

According to the report, the accident occurred around 3:20 p.m. and involved a white Toyota Liteace bus with registration number NSR 188 KP, which was carrying 25 passengers, and a blue DAF trailer with registration number KMC 158 XW that was parked by the roadside.

“The bus driver lost control and crashed into a stationary trailer, resulting in multiple casualties,” Makama stated.

Emergency responders were swift to arrive at the scene, rushing the victims to Kura General Hospital. Tragically, the bus driver and 14 passengers were confirmed dead on arrival.

The remaining 10 passengers are currently receiving medical treatment for various degrees of injuries.

As of the time of filing this report, authorities are yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
